বহুল আকাঙ্ক্ষিত এই আগমনকে অনেকেই দেখছেন বিরাজমান অস্থির পরিস্থিতিতে জনগণের ঐক্য সৃষ্টি এবং গ্রহণযোগ্য নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে গণতান্ত্রিক দেশ প্রতিষ্ঠার একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধাপ হিসেবে। সে কারণেই তারেক রহমানের ফেরা কেবল একটি ব্যক্তিগত প্রত্যাবর্তন নয়, বরং এটি দেশের স্বাধীনতা, সার্বভৌমত্ব ও গণতন্ত্র প্রতিষ্ঠায় জনগণের গভীর আকাঙ্ক্ষা ও প্রত্যাশার প্রতীকে পরিণত হয়েছে।
