July National Charter to Be Signed on October 15
The July National Charter will be signed on October 15 at the South Plaza of the National Parliament. The historic signing ceremony will be led by Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the Interim Government and Chairman of the National Consensus Commission.
The decision was finalized at a meeting of the commission held on Thursday (October 9) at the commission’s office in the National Parliament building.
According to the commission’s public relations officer Pabon Chowdhury, representatives from various political parties and alliances across the country will attend the event.
During the meeting, participants discussed expert opinions and feedback gathered from five prior meetings with political parties regarding the implementation of the July Charter. The meeting expressed hope that, after analyzing these opinions, the commission would soon submit recommendations on implementation and the finalized July Charter to the government.
Among those present at the meeting were the commission’s Vice Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, and Dr. Md. Aiyub Mia. Monir Haider, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, also attended the meeting as part of the national consensus process.

জাতীয় সংসদের দক্ষিণ প্লাজায় জুলাই জাতীয় সনদ স্বাক্ষরিত হবে। ঐতিহাসিক এই স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্ঠানে নেতৃত্ব দেবেন অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা এবং জাতীয় ঐকমত্য কমিশনের সভাপতি প্রফেসর মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস।বৃহস্পতিবার (৯ অক্টোবর) জাতীয় সংসদ ভবনে ঐকমত্য কমিশন কার্যালয়ের সভাকক্ষে কমিশনের এক বৈঠকে এ সিদ্ধান্ত চূড়ান্ত করা হয়।
কমিশনের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা পবন চৌধুরী জানিয়েছেন, অনুষ্ঠানে দেশের বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দল ও জোটের প্রতিনিধিরা অংশ নেবেন।
সভায় জুলাই সনদ বাস্তবায়নের উপায় নিয়ে বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতামত এবং রাজনৈতিক দলগুলোর সঙ্গে কমিশনের পাঁচটি বৈঠকে প্রাপ্ত মতামত বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। বৈঠকে আশা প্রকাশ করা হয় যে, বিশেষজ্ঞরা এবং রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো থেকে প্রাপ্ত অভিমত বিশ্লেষণ করে খুব শিগগিরই বাস্তবায়নের উপায় সংক্রান্ত সুপারিশ এবং চূড়ান্তকৃত জুলাই সনদ সরকারের কাছে জমা দেওয়া হবে।
বৈঠকে কমিশনের সহ-সভাপতি অধ্যাপক আলী রীয়াজ, সদস্য ড. বদিউল আলম মজুমদার, বিচারপতি মো. এমদাদুল হক, ড. ইফতেখারুজ্জামান ও ড. মো. আইয়ুব মিয়া উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এছাড়া ঐকমত্য গঠন প্রক্রিয়ায় যুক্ত প্রধান উপদেষ্টার বিশেষ সহকারী মনির হায়দারও সভায় অংশ নেন।
